Newa Christian Literature Center is a non-profitable organization. It was established in 2005 in Nepal, a small and beautiful country situated between India and China. Nepal is well known for its natural beauty, the courage of the Gorkha solder and geographical diversity, and breathtakingly beautiful peaks of the Himalaya mountains. Out of 14 mountains higher than 8000 meters, eight are in Nepal along with Nepal’s pride the Mount Everest. The bowl-shaped Kathmandu valley is the capital of the nation well known for various world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. The approximate population of the valley is 1.6 million. Newars are the indigenous inhabitants of the valley. Many western and other historians and writers have given a detailed account of the Newars in their books. Newars are traditionally well-known as traders and business people. They had good business with ancient Tibet in the north and southern principalities. The latest statistics show that only four thousand Newars are saved. This audibly compels us that we have yet to do a lot for the salvation of this people group. They are around the world now. Modern, as well as traditional means, methods, and media, must be used to reach them with the gospel. Christian Newars must be organized, empowered, and equipped to reach unsaved Newars of Nepal and beyond.
